The light-grey Ikat fabric is handwoven in the small Indian hamlet Pochampally in the state of Telangana. Traditional Ikat fabrics are produced there, requiring refined weaving technique and precise dyeing skills that have been honed by generations of inherited knowledge, as well as a lot of talent and concentration. The wonderfully soft, patterned fabrics are made available to us by the Indian fashion label Translate , who are dedicated to the revival of the Ikat craft. Jalina was cut and sewn in our stitching workshop in Chittapur.

[su_accordion][su_spoiler title="Description" icon="caret"]Elegant but relaxed tunic made from a fine and smooth cotton fabric.The shirt has a button placket which does not go all the way down to the hem, but simply makes it easier to pull the tunic over your head. The shirt has a stand-up collar, inspired from Indian clothing-styles and just like our Harish shirts, and cuffs.
Additionally the sleeves can easily be folded up and fixed with a small button at the height of the lower arms. Thus the tunic is especially suited for all days on which the temperature goes up and down for you.

[su_spoiler title="Value Chain" icon="caret"] The green cotton fabric is handmade by weaver Vankar Kantilal Samat. Traditionally manufactured on the loom and treated with a special finishing, the fabric becomes very soft, thus comfortable to wear and does not crease easily. Woven by hand the fabric contains small irregularities, which contribute to its unique structure. Thus, each meter of this valuable material has its very own look. Finally, Tanu is sewn in our workshop in Londa. [/su_spoiler]
