Scarf Kanti Iceblue
Scarf Kanti Iceblue
incl. VAT, plus shipping
[su_accordion][su_spoiler title="Description" icon="caret"]Scarf Kanti is super soft and cozy. It stands out through its rich color and the fine tassels on the border. In cold season it would keep you warm due to the wool but also in summers this scarf can be a good companion for cooler evenings.
[su_Icon_Handgewebt][/su_Icon_Handgewebt][/su_spoiler]
[su_spoiler title="Value chain" icon="caret"]
The iceblue wool fabric is handmade by weavers of the family run business Vankar Kantilal Samat. The wool is sourced from local families of the Rabari nomads - traditional farmers who rear sheep and goats. They wander with their animals throughout the year. The animals have access to fresh pastures and are treated humanly. Thus it is no surprise that the wool is soft and not itchy at all. Also the wool fibre itself is breathable, dirt and odour resistant and almost crease free. Plus it is 100% bio degradable. This is why we work with this multifunctional material. Manufactured on handlooms, the fabric has a unique texture. Finally, Kanti is sewn in our workshop in Chittapur/Londa.

[su_accordion][su_spoiler title="Description" icon="caret"]This beautiful Ring Reva was designed by us Jyotis in Berlin – as all our jewelry is. Nevertheless this time we tried to adapt our simple, straight designs a little more to the usual patterns of our friend, the artisan Somnath, who is crafting the ring in Rajasthan. In this way we wanted to include him more actively in the creation of our jewelry. Whether you recognize a crown, a rising sun or anything else in Reva’s pattern, for sure its beautiful design will inspire you every single day!

[su_spoiler title="Wertschöpfung" icon="caret"]These rings are crafted by a small family of artisans in Pushkar (Rajasthan) in North India. Rajasthan is the centre of goldsmith art in India. For centuries, silver – and recently brass as well- has been mined and processed there. The Mahwani family has been in the business of jewellery making for three generations and makes – following traditional Rajasthani styles – unique designs. Even though this family is not a member of our group of seamstresses in Chittapur we would like to support them because we think they are fabulous. You can find more information about them and other artisans who collaborate with the small, Berlin-based label Perelin here: www.perelin-berlin.com [/su_spoiler]

The darkgrey Ikat fabric is handwoven in the small Indian hamlet Pochampally in the state of Telangana. Traditional Ikat fabrics are produced there, requiring refined weaving technique and precise dyeing skills that have been honed by generations of inherited knowledge, as well as a lot of talent and concentration. The wonderfully soft, patterned fabrics are made available to us by the Indian fashion label Translate , who are dedicated to the revival of the Ikat craft. Farin was cut and sewn in our stitching workshop in Chittapur.

The grey wool fabric is handmade by weavers of the family run business Vankar Kantilal Samat. Finally, Udhan is sewn in our workshop in Chittapur.
