It is their vision to offer sustainable textiles which support local communities as well as the environment and reverse the fast fashion movement.
The print designs are an artwork of Monika Morito, a berlin-based painter who captures her longing and nostalgia for her Philippine homeland, in her pictures full of natural elements and warm colors.

The wonderfully soft, and mostly patterned fabrics are made available to us by the Indian fashion label Translate , who are dedicated to the revival of the Ikat craft.

In the residential quarters giant lengths of patterned fabrics are hanging in the sun to dry on most the flat rooftops. The Chhippa (printer) families, who traditionally dye and print fabrics, live here. To make a blockprint fabric first special iron tools are used to cut delicate patterns into woodblocks. With these blocks lengths of fabric are printed with impressive precision and without any gaps. Our partners from Bagru Textiles work together with many of the inhabitants of this area, who largely conduct their work from their homes. The business attaches a lot of importance to fair wages and invests part of its profits in community health and education programs.

In the residential quarters giant lengths of patterned fabrics are hanging in the sun to dry on most the flat rooftops. The Chhippa (printer) families, who traditionally dye and print fabrics, live here. To make a blockprint fabric first special iron tools are used to cut delicate patterns into woodblocks. With these blocks lengths of fabric are printed with impressive precision and without any gaps. Our partners from Bagru Textiles work together with many of the inhabitants of this area, who largely conduct their work from their homes. This fabric with its little woven in applications is called Jamdani. The traditional weaving technique is common in West-Bengal and Bangladesh and creates very delicate fabrics, often used for fine shirts and shawls in India. We met the artisans who are weaving the fabric for us through our partners from GoCoop.
Finally, Rachana is sewn in our workshop in Chittapur. [/su_spoiler]

That is why we have reduced its price dramatically. Traditionally manufactured on the loom and treated with a special finishing, the fabric becomes very soft, thus comfortable to wear and does not crease easily. Woven by hand the fabric contains small irregularities, which contribute to its unique structure. Thus, each meter of this valuable material has its very own look.
