Return request

Not satisfied with your Jyoti product? The dress or shirt doesn't fit? No problem, you can return the product within 14 days of receiving it!

Simply send us a return request:

Click on the profile icon in the shop menu or go to the cancellation or return page and request a return
1. Log in to your account:

  • Enter your email address in the "Email" field and click "Continue"
  • Open the email sent by our shop and copy the six-digit confirmation code from the email.
  • Go back to the online shop and enter the six-digit confirmation code.
2. Click "Request Return" for the order you wish to return.
3. If your order includes more than one item, select the items you want to return.
4. Choose a return reason and add a note for the shop.
5. Click "Request Return."

Once your return request is approved and shipping is necessary, you will receive an email with further information regarding shipping and a return label. After the product has been returned, a refund will be issued.

Withdrawal

You may withdraw your contract declaration within 14 days without giving a reason in writing (e.g. by letter, fax, or email) or — if the goods are delivered to you before the deadline — also by returning the goods.
The period begins after receiving this instruction in text form, but not before the goods have been received by the recipient (in the case of recurring delivery of similar goods, not before the first partial delivery has been received) and also not before we have fulfilled our information obligations in accordance with Article 246 § 2 in conjunction with § 1 Paragraph 1 and 2 EGBGB as well as our obligations according to § 312g Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 BGB in conjunction with Article 246 § 3 EGBGB. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send the withdrawal notice or the goods in time. The withdrawal should be addressed to:

Please send your Jyoti product to the specified address. Unfortunately, we cannot cover the return shipping costs. We would be happy if you use the return form to give us feedback. We are eager to learn why you are returning your order. We use this feedback to improve Jyoti and our products. In this way, we grow and learn daily with the project — both here in Germany and the women in India. So be part of this and share your feedback and suggestions with us!

Refund

In the case of a valid withdrawal, both parties must return any received services and, if applicable, any benefits (e.g. interest) must be returned. If you cannot return the received goods or benefits (e.g. usage advantages) in whole or in part, or only in a deteriorated condition, you must compensate us for the value.
You only need to provide compensation for the deterioration of the goods and for any benefits derived if the deterioration or benefits result from handling the goods beyond what is necessary to verify their nature, characteristics, and functioning. "Verification of nature, characteristics, and functioning" means testing and trying out the goods as it would be possible and customary in a retail store.
Items that can be sent by parcel must be returned at your expense and risk. Items that cannot be sent by parcel will be picked up from you.
Obligations to reimburse payments must be fulfilled within 30 days. The period begins for you when you send the withdrawal declaration or the goods, and for us when we receive them.

PayPal: You will receive a credit to your PayPal account. The amount can then stay in your PayPal account for another purchase or be transferred back to your bank account. You can easily set this up directly with PayPal.

Partial Returns for Discounted Sets

When purchasing a discounted set, the discount is tied to the simultaneous purchase and retention of all products in the set. If part of the set is returned (i.e., one or more items are returned while others are kept), the refund amount will be adjusted so that the full price of the retained items is calculated.

Example: If Product 1 (€10) and Product 2 (€20) are bought together as a set for €9 + €19 = €28 (with a €1 discount per product), the return of Product 1 will result in a refund of €8 instead of €9, since Product 2 will now be charged at the full price (€20).

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

Please note for custom-made products:

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the delivery of goods made according to customer specifications or clearly tailored to personal needs, according to § 312d Abs.4 BGB. In the event of a dispute, it is the seller’s responsibility to prove that the goods were made according to customer specifications or clearly tailored to the customer’s personal needs.
