CUSTOMER ADVISOR AND SALES

Your responsibilities

  • Advising and supporting our customers in the store – attentively, honestly, and with enthusiasm for our products
  • Assisting with sales and at the cash register
  • Presenting and maintaining our collections and the sales area
  • Receiving, pricing, and shelving new merchandise
  • Supporting with inventories and general organizational tasks in the store
  • Conveying the history, values, and impact of Jyoti – Fair Works to customers
  • Contributing to a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel at home

What you bring to the table

  • Good German and English skills
  • Enjoyment of working with people and a strong sense of service and customer advice
  • Ideally, initial experience in retail, sales, or customer service
  • Interest in sustainable fashion, fair trade, and conscious consumption
  • Reliable, independent, and meticulous way of working
  • Friendly demeanor, team spirit, and willingness to take responsibility
  • Flexibility in taking on store shifts, including Saturdays

JOIN OUR TEAM IN INDIA

Production & Business Development Coordinator (India)

Location: Karnataka, India (with regular travel)

We are immediately seeking a dedicated and entrepreneurial individual to support our production processes in India and simultaneously drive the expansion of our network within India's sustainable fashion industry.

This position combines operational production work with business development and offers a diverse work environment at the intersection of craftsmanship, product development, and sustainable fashion. You will work closely with our tailoring workshops, weaving partners, and our international team, contributing to the continuous improvement of our product quality and social impact.

You should feel equally comfortable:

  • in workshops and production facilities,
  • developing new fabrics together with weavers,
  • as well as interacting with potential new customers and partners

Your Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining contacts with potential customers and partners – especially in the field of more sustainable fashion and responsible production in India
  • Managing communication, sampling, and production processes for existing and new customers
  • Regular visits to our three tailoring workshops in Karnataka
  • Close collaboration with the tailors to further develop product quality, craftsmanship, and efficient workflows
  • Supporting and guiding the teams in their day-to-day production activities
  • Collaboration with our weaving partners and participation in the development of new fabrics and materials
  • Coordination of on-site product development processes
  • Interface function between local production teams in India and our international team

What you bring to the table

  • Excellent organizational skills, proactive work style, and independent work
  • Background in fashion design, fashion marketing, textile design, or a comparable field
  • Good network within the sustainable fashion scene in India
  • In-depth understanding of pattern making, garment manufacturing, and sewing
  • Excellent knowledge of Indian textiles and craftsmanship
  • Fluent in English and Hindi
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Karnataka and beyond
  • Enjoy working in an international and intercultural environment
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment in building long-term relationships
