At the beginning there was the desire to create long-term, well-paid jobs. No matter how. Sewing seemed to be the path of least resistance, the most obvious approach, a means to an end, so to speak. To this day, little has changed. Whenever we face challenges, It is clear: We are continuing – not to create another collection and to be able to live out our creativity, although we admit that this gives us a lot of pleasure. It is about preserving jobs in India. Not simply giving up because we are not satisfied with the tasks no longer to be the master, but out of a feeling of responsibility and in the knowledge of the consequences for our team on site. So the "beyond" is actually the "why in the first place".

What does Jyoti actually mean?
The term "Jyoti" comes from Sanskrit and means something like "rising light" or "flame" and stands for brightness and creation.
A very special name for us, the meaning of which is reflected in the flattened "O" of our logo, which is reminiscent of a rising sun and a ray of light on the horizon. It symbolizes our close connection with the Indian NGO "Jyothi Seva Kendra", whose name translates as "bringing light to those who are in darkness".
