Earclip/Ring Bahut Brass

Bahut is our most versatile piece of jewelry so far – you can wear it as a big earclip in many different ways but also as a ring that is flexible in its size. Oh and don’t worry, as brass is a very flexible and durable material you can open and close it without risking to break it.

These earclips were crafted by a small family of artisans in Pushkar (Rajasthan) in North India. Rajasthan is the centre of goldsmith art in India. For centuries, silver – and recently brass as well- has been mined and processed there. The Mahwani family has been in the business of jewellery making for three generations and makes – following traditional Rajasthani styles – unique designs. Even though this family is not a member of our group of seamstresses in Chittapur we would like to support them because we think they are fabulous. Measurements: length: 23 mm and 30 mm
Care: By wearing this jewellery it’s surface can become a little tarnished. To get back it’s original shine just clean it carefully with a silver cloth.
