This is its individual journey

Designed by Jyoti

Our collections are created in close collaboration between Jyoti founders Carolin and Jeanine and our pattern technician Mareike. In this process, we are inspired by our life in Berlin, trips to India and lots of exchange with the Indian team. We place particular emphasis on minimal waste and a timeless design of the highest quality in order to create long-lasting pieces with the smallest possible ecological footprint.

Made from natural fiber

In order to produce as little waste as possible in our production and not to waste valuable materials, we use leftover materials that accrue when cutting clothing for patchwork products or small accessories. Even smaller leftovers are processed on site, for example, into pillow fillings. The majority of our materials are cotton, but we also use other natural fibers such as hemp, modal or tencel.

More about our materials

Woven by...

...small family businesses, independent weavers, cooperatives or inspiring social enterprises from various parts of India. There are so many possibilities here, as we use leftover materials from our other production for this product, which are produced with a lot of love by a variety of people. We attach great importance to knowing all of our partners personally and would like to introduce them to you:

More about our partners

Sewn in Chittapur

Our oldest workshop is in the small southern Indian town of Chittapur. Since 2010, sewing has been taking place here under the umbrella of our partner NGO Jyothi Seva Kendra - many of the employees from back then are still part of the team today. The women are employed directly by us, and the primary goal of our work is to support them on their way to a financially independent and self-determined future by creating fair jobs and training opportunities.

sent to you from Berlin

After the products have been packaged in the workshops, they begin the long journey to Germany, where the Jyoti team in Berlin is excited again and again to receive a package full of little treasures. In our office, warehouse, studio and concept store in Prenzlauer Berg, all newly arrived products are checked for errors and your orders are lovingly packed and shipped.
