We are very happy to introduce you to Jyoti’s newest addition: our sewing workshop in Hyderabad – the fourth largest city in India and capital of the southern Indian state of Telangana.

For a long time we have been looking for a way to expand our production to meet your growing demand and, more importantly, to create more long-term, well-paid and secure jobs for women. In 2020 - in the middle of the first lockdown, the time had come and, as so often in Jyoti's history, the solution - in this case, the Indian NGO ACCESS FOUNDATION - simply came to us.

It took almost a year to get to this point – a year in which we built a relationship with ACCESS, developed common goals and strategies, and hired and employed the first 6 seamstresses.

And all of this is thanks to the great work of our new partner and manager of the Indian stores, Sunandha. She basically moved in with ACCESS for a few months, put the NGO through its paces, got to know the new seamstresses and, together with them, brought the new sewing workshop to life.

We are more than happy about this development and look forward to everything that will follow. With the ACCESS Foundation, we have found a great partner who shares our values ​​and also has all the prerequisites we need to be able to reach many more women in the future.

You can now find the first pieces created in our new sewing workshop in our online shop. They are part of our Spring/Summer 2021 collection and we couldn't be prouder - the quality is great and we are thrilled at how well our new team members were able to implement our designs.
