PART 2: CIRCULAR WARDROBE (PART 5/5): UPCYCLING CORRECTLY

Tip 1: Shorten jeans in a creative way

To achieve this great end result, simply fold the pants
once around.

Next, embroider lengthwise lines (always place the cross stitches (dotted line) on the inside and the lengthwise stitches on the outside)

Then, using a contrasting color, gather three of the lengthwise threads together by stitching from the inside of the trouser leg outwards. Wrap these around two or three times, stitch back through the layers of fabric and make a cross stitch on the inside to the next center point of 3 crosswise threads.

tip 2: Spice up boring shirts

It's so easy to transform a sleeve into a braided puff sleeve:

Cut the sleeve of the shirt/sweater (cutting depth approx. 3-5cm)
and hook the individual elements with their respective neighbors - so that "loops" form - don't be surprised if you have to pull a little. Then simply sew the last loop in place with a few hand stitches and you're done.

Tip 3: Embellishing the hem of sweaters and shirts

If you want to give a T-shirt or old sweater a new twist, try this technique:

Make sure that you work with a sturdy yarn, as you will have to pull hard at the end to pull the cuff into the right shape.
