We’re expanding: Our sewing center in Hyderabad

We are very excited to introduce you to the newest addition of our Jyoti-family: Our sewing workshop in Hyderabad – the fourth biggest city in India, capital of the south-Indian State Telangana and not far from our main sewing center in Chittapur.

It’s been a while since we had searched for a way to expand our production – in order to respond to your growing demand, but mor importantly to generate even more well paid and secure jobs for women in India.

2020 – in the middle of the first lockdown, we suddenly found the solution. Or better said the solution found us (like so many times in the history of Jyoti), in the form of the ACCESS Foundation.

It took us roughly one year to set everything up – to build a relationship full of trust with ACCESS, to develop common goals and strategies and to introduce our 6 new team-members to their new jobs.

None of this would have been possible without our new partner and head of India operations Sunandha who basically moved in with ACCESS, made sure we understandthe NGOs values 100%, got to know our new team-members and togetherwith them evoked our new sewing-center to live.

We are more than happy about this development and are excited about the future. Because ACCESS is not only a great new partner but also provides us with everything needed to reach out to many more women in the future.

The first pieces produced by the new ladies are part of our spring/summer2021 collection and can be found as of now in our online shop.We are amazed by ho fast the ladies have picked up their skills and how well they have brought our designs to live.
